Biography

Kezo Nogueira is a Brazilian musician, educator, and music producer born in Salvador, Bahia. Self-taught, he began his musical journey at age 14 playing drums and acoustic guitar. In 1995, he founded Banda Setembro, which performed notable shows and recorded a demo praised by Ed Motta. After the band recorded its first CD in 2001 and moved to São Paulo in 2003, Kezo pursued a solo career in the capital starting in 2004, working as a sideman in recordings and shows for various artists, such as Clara Moreno, Léo Maia, Luciano Nassyn, Rafael Pondé, and Vitor Kley, among many others.

His academic background includes a degree in Music Education from UNESP, a master's degree in Art Education from the same institution, and a doctorate in Musicology from USP. In addition to his work as a musician, Kezo Nogueira also dedicates himself to producing albums and soundtracks for audiovisual media, having worked on projects such as the series "Meu Ayrton" (HBO Max) and station IDs for CNN Money Brasil. His experience also encompasses music production and soundtrack creation for film and TV, accumulating over 10 years in this field.

Kezo Nogueira also invested in his international education, participating in the Berklee Summer Program in Perugia, Italy, in 1996, and studying with Art Gore in the United States in 2008. His career is marked by versatility, working as an instrumentalist, educator, and producer, always with an eye toward innovation and musical quality.
