Biography

Kiko Dinucci is a Brazilian singer, composer, multi-instrumentalist, visual artist, and film director born in São Paulo. Growing up in Guarulhos, he began his musical journey in the 1990s as a member of various rock bands, including Personal Choice. Over the years, he established himself as a prominent figure in the contemporary Brazilian independent music scene, collaborating with notable artists such as Juçara Marçal on projects like the 2007 album Padê.

In 2011, Dinucci co-founded two influential musical groups: the experimental band Metá Metá, alongside Juçara Marçal and Thiago França, and the avant-garde samba collective Passo Torto, featuring Romulo Fróes, Rodrigo Campos, and Marcelo Cabral. His creative output bridges traditional Brazilian idioms like samba with abrasive rock and punk aesthetics, earning him critical acclaim for pioneering the "dirty samba" sound.

His solo work further solidified his reputation as a visionary songwriter, highlighted by his 2017 debut solo album Cortes Curtos and the subsequent 2020 release Rastilho. Through his extensive collaborations with peers like Ná Ozzetti and Douglas Germano, Dinucci continues to shape the trajectory of modern Brazilian popular music, blending urban lyricism with experimental arrangements.
