Biography

Kledir Alves Ramil was born in Pelotas, Rio Grande do Sul, on January 21, 1953. He began his musical career in the 1970s as a member of the band Almôndegas, alongside friends and his brother Kleiton Ramil. With the end of the group, the duo Kleiton & Kledir was formed in 1980, achieving great national success with hits like "Deu pra ti", "Paixão", "Maria Fumaça" and "Vira virou". Their compositions have been recorded by several renowned artists, both in Brazil and internationally. The duo split up in 1989, but resumed activities in 1997. Kledir Ramil is also known for his venture into literature, having published chronicles and children's books.

In addition to his musical career, Kledir Ramil established himself as a writer. In 2003, he released "Tipo assim", a collection of chronicles that was well received by critics and the public, earning him a video-chronicle show on Canal Brasil. His second book, "O pai invisível", published in 2006, humorously addresses the challenges of fatherhood with teenage children. Kledir also works as a columnist for newspapers and websites, sharing his texts and reflections.

Kledir Ramil is part of an expressive family of musicians from Rio Grande do Sul, being the brother of Kleiton and Vitor Ramil, and the cousin of Pery Souza. This musical lineage extends across several generations, with his children Ian, Gutcha, Thiago and João Ramil also pursuing artistic careers. The Ramil family has come together in projects like "Casa Ramil", which celebrates family and musical bonds, uniting talents and legacies in shows and recordings.
