Biography

Leonardo Galdino Luiz, known professionally as Kleo Dibah, is a Brazilian singer and songwriter who began his musical journey at the age of seven in Ituiutaba, Minas Gerais. He performed in festivals and local events throughout the Triângulo Mineiro region. By age 15, he was proficient in drums and percussion and also learned to play guitar, viola, and other stringed instruments. Dibah initially pursued a solo career before forming the duo Kleo Dibah & Rafael in 2011 with his friend Rafael. The duo achieved significant success in the Brazilian sertanejo music scene, releasing several hit songs such as "Se Eu Me Entregar," "Sinceramente," "Cicatrizes," and "Podia Ser Nós Dois." Their music was characterized by a unique vocal inversion, where both members could sing lead or harmony parts. The partnership between Kleo Dibah and Rafael concluded at the end of 2017, leaving a legacy of popular sertanejo hits.

Following the dissolution of the duo, Kleo Dibah launched a solo career. In 2018, he released his first solo DVD, "Na Varanda Ao Vivo em Goiânia," recorded in December 2017. This project featured 17 tracks and included special guest appearances by Marília Mendonça and the duo Luiza e Maurílio. The lead single from the DVD, "Me Ame Mais," showcased his evolving musical direction. Dibah also became associated with Workshow, a prominent agency in the sertanejo segment. During the social isolation period of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, he held several successful live performances on YouTube, including "Live só modão," "Live de aniversário," and "Arraiá do Kleo Dibah," which collectively garnered over a million views.

Kleo Dibah's musical style is rooted in sertanejo but often incorporates elements from other genres, reflecting his diverse influences from rock, blues, and country music. His songwriting is noted for its romantic themes, poetic language, and relatable narratives about love and relationships. He has also contributed as a songwriter for other artists in the Brazilian music industry. Kleo Dibah continues to be an active presence in Brazilian music, releasing new material and performing for his dedicated fanbase.
