Biography

Krisiun is a renowned Brazilian death metal band formed in 1990 in the city of Ijuí, in Rio Grande do Sul, by a trio of brothers. The group's name originates from a lunar sea called Mare Crisium, and the band's sound quickly stood out for its hyper-speed, extreme heaviness, and technique, becoming one of the main global references in brutal death metal. After their early formation years and the release of the demo Evil Age in 1991, the musicians moved to São Paulo in search of better opportunities, where they recorded the mini-album Unmerciful Order in 1993 and built a solid reputation in the national underground scene.

International recognition began to solidify with the release of their debut album Black Force Domain in 1997, which opened doors for extensive tours across Europe and North America. Over the following years, the band released works praised by specialized critics, such as Apocalyptic Revelation in 1998 and the acclaimed Conquerors of Armageddon in 2000, produced in partnership with Erik Rutan and Andy Classen. With an intense tour schedule around the globe, sharing stages with major icons of world metal and paying tribute to bands like Sepultura through striking covers, Krisiun has established itself as one of the greatest exponents of Brazilian heavy music abroad.
