Biography

Last Joker is a Brazilian hard rock band formed in 1990 in the city of Santos, São Paulo. The group gained regional recognition through their track "Hold on Tight," which received heavy airplay on local radio stations in Santos as well as major stations in São Paulo. Nationally, the band achieved notoriety for featuring future members of the famous rock band Charlie Brown Jr., specifically Marcão Britto and Renato Pelado, in their early lineup.

During their initial run, the band was a regular presence in the live music circuit of Santos before entering the studio in 1992 to record their self-titled debut LP under the M. Records label. Despite their early success and radio presence, the group disbanded in 1993. Over the years, they held sporadic reunion shows, including a 2011 performance opening for Dr. Sin.

In 2014, the band announced a major return featuring vocalist Rodrigo Bevevino, later reformulating with members in the United Kingdom. This new iteration recorded the 2015 album Ulterior Motives through a Dutch label, spawning a music video for "Kissed by the Lake" and leading to an international performance at the Doctor Metal Fest in Barcelona. Their historical importance to the coastal region was further cemented when they placed 12th on a 2016 list of the greatest rock bands in Baixada Santista history.
