Leo Justi is a Brazilian DJ and producer, born on October 4, 1986, in Rio de Janeiro. He is a pivotal figure in the contemporary Brazilian music scene, particularly known for his role in popularizing and innovating the "Heavy Baile" movement. This genre is a fusion of the raw energy of Funk Carioca with electronic beats, drawing influences from global bass music, breakbeat, electro, hip-hop, and dancehall.

Justi's musical journey began with classical training, studying violin from a young age, and later exploring rock music as a guitarist in bands during his adolescence. His transition to electronic music was significantly influenced by artists like Diplo and M.I.A., whose experimental sounds opened new avenues for his production. He gained international recognition for his production work on MC Carol's debut album "Bandida" and for co-producing M.I.A.'s track "A.M.P." alongside Skrillex. His own "Heavy Baile" parties and mixtapes have become a significant platform for showcasing this unique sound.
