Biography

Leandro Silva de Santana Improta, widely known as Léo Santana, is a prominent Brazilian singer, songwriter, and percussionist born in Salvador, Bahia. Growing up in the neighborhood of Boa Vista do Lobato, he nurtured a deep passion for music from a young age, eventually rising through various local bands before achieving massive success. His breakthrough came when he joined the band Parangolé as lead vocalist, where he co-wrote and recorded the global smash hit "Rebolation", which earned the group international acclaim and a place in the Guinness Book of World Records for the most played song in the world in 2010.

After spending five years leading Parangolé, Santana embarked on a successful solo career in 2014, launching his debut solo tour and subsequent albums such as Uma Nova História and #Bailedasantinha. His musical style heavily incorporates axé, pagode baiano, and various contemporary Brazilian rhythms, often collaborating with other major national artists like Anitta, Marília Mendonça, and Thiaguinho. Throughout his journey, he has established himself as one of the leading figures in modern Brazilian popular music and carnival culture, maintaining a powerful presence across charts and media platforms.
