Biography

Levi Lima Silveira was born in Palmares, Pernambuco, but moved to Salvador as a child, a city with which he developed a deep artistic identity. His musical journey began to take shape professionally in 2003, passing through groups such as Banda de Forró Melaço de Cana and Banda Tao, in addition to working as a backing vocalist for Terra Samba. His projection as a songwriter also stood out during this period, having works recorded by major names in national music, such as Luan Santana.

In 2011, Levi took over as the lead singer of the band Jammil e Uma Noites, replacing Tuca Fernandes. At the helm of the Bahian group, he hit the charts with several songs featured in Rede Globo soap opera soundtracks, such as "Colorir Papel" in Fina Estampa, "Celebrar" in Salve Jorge, and tracks in productions like Amor à Vida and Segundo Sol. With Jammil, the singer was nominated for a Latin Grammy in 2012 with the album Jammil na Real.

After nine years of great visibility and achievements at the helm of Jammil e Uma Noites, Levi Lima announced his departure from the group in July 2020 to pursue new directions in his musical career. Throughout his journey, he has established himself not only as an interpreter of axé music and Bahian rhythms, but also as a sought-after songwriter in the Brazilian music scene.
