Biography

Levi Ramiro is a Brazilian guitarist, singer, songwriter, and artisan born in Uru, São Paulo. Self-taught, he began his musical career in the 1990s playing popular acoustic guitar, but soon fell in love with the ten-string viola, an instrument that became his trademark. His work is deeply influenced by popular culture and the simplicity of rural life, celebrating the poetry of the countryside in his compositions.

In addition to his career as a musician, Levi Ramiro is recognized as a skilled artisan, crafting his own instruments, with a focus on gourd violas. He uses materials such as gourds and recycled wood, creating unique pieces that carry the identity of Brazil's rural culture. Ramiro also leads workshops on the construction and playing of the country viola, sharing his knowledge and encouraging the preservation of this tradition.

Throughout his career, Levi Ramiro has released over a dozen original albums and participated in important musical projects, such as "Sonora Brasil" and Itaú Cultural's "Rumos Musicais".
