Biography

Linn da Quebrada, stage name of Lina Pereira dos Santos, was born in São Paulo and built a striking trajectory in Brazilian music and visual arts. Known for her identity as a transvestite, Black, and peripheral woman, she began her artistic career in the capital of São Paulo with performances in nightclubs and bars, releasing her first original single "Enviadescer" in 2016. Her sound and defiant stance quickly gained prominence in the independent scene, culminating in the "Bixarya" tour and the acclaimed debut album "Pajubá".

Over the years, Linn expanded her work into film, television, and literature, establishing herself as one of the most influential voices in the discussion on gender, race, and sexuality in Brazil. She released her second studio album, "Trava Línguas", in 2021, and participated in important audiovisual productions, in addition to hosting television shows. Her work dialogues and crosses paths with other exponents of contemporary Brazilian music, such as the singer Liniker.

Recognized for her activism and for challenging traditional standards, Linn da Quebrada faced personal and health challenges throughout her career, remaining a symbol of cultural resistance. Her artistic legacy continues to be the subject of academic studies and an inspiration for new generations of artists who navigate between the avant-garde and the periphery.
