Biography

Lito Atalaia, born Adilson Vieira da Silva in São Paulo, is a prominent Brazilian Christian rap artist, singer, and songwriter. He began his career in the early 2000s when he signed with the 7 Taças record label at just 19 years old, touring alongside the pioneering hip hop group Apocalipse 16. In 2002, he released his debut studio album, Levanta e Anda, which achieved national recognition and earned him historic nominations at the Prêmio Hutúz, competing alongside influential artists such as Sabotage. After launching his independent label "Atalaia" in 2003, he continued to expand his artistic horizons within the Brazilian hip hop scene.

Throughout his career, Lito Atalaia has constantly blended musical styles and collaborated with various notable figures in Christian and secular music. His 2007 sophomore album, Javé Nissi, incorporated reggae influences and featured collaborations with the band Planta e Raiz and singer Sérgio Saas. Subsequent projects, such as his 2009 tribute album with DJ Max and the 2013 release Totalmente Rap, Totalmente Rock, saw him exploring rap rock alongside artists like DJ Alpiste, Paulo César Baruk, and Mauro Henrique. After signing with Sony Music Brasil, he released the project Boas Novaz in 2018, cementing his legacy in gospel rap.
