Biography

José Luan Barbosa da Silva, known artistically as Luan Estilizado, was born on August 9, 1991, in Brejo da Madre de Deus, Pernambuco. He is a Brazilian forró singer, songwriter, and accordionist who gained national recognition for blending traditional Northeastern forró with modern arrangements. Growing up in a musical environment, Luan is the son of forró singer Amazan and began playing the accordion at age nine. He released his first album at eleven and his second at twelve, quickly gaining prominence in the Northeast region of Brazil. His participation in the TV Globo program "SuperStar" marked a significant turning point, where his band reached the finals and achieved national visibility. Luan Estilizado is celebrated for his original compositions and reinterpretations of Northeastern classics, solidifying his career in the "forró estilizado" (stylized forró) genre.

Luan Estilizado's career began to take shape in Campina Grande, Paraíba, where he formed the project "Luan e Forró Estilizado" in 2010 alongside other musicians. This project aimed to innovate within the forró genre by mixing traditional elements with contemporary influences. Throughout his career, he has shared stages with numerous renowned Brazilian artists, including Ivete Sangalo, Aviões do Forró, Garota Safada, Wesley Safadão, and Raí Saia Rodada, further expanding his reach and recognition within the Brazilian music scene.

He has released several studio albums, live albums, and EPs, showcasing his evolution as an artist. Some of his notable releases include "Luan – O Vaqueiro Mirim" (2003), "Pra Tomar Cachaça" (2017), and "Tá Faltando Eu" (2020). Luan Estilizado continues to be a prominent figure in the new generation of forró artists, captivating audiences across Brazil with his unique style and energetic performances.
