Biography

Luan Rafael Domingos Santana, known artistically as Luan Santana, was born in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, on March 13, 1991. Since childhood, encouraged by his father Amarildo, he showed a talent for music and learned to play the acoustic guitar, an instrument that accompanied him even during school breaks. After standing out regionally with informal recordings and live performances that quickly spread across the internet, the singer achieved national stardom in 2009 with the release of the hit "Meteoro" and his first live album, which became a huge commercial success and earned him projection throughout the country.

Throughout his career, Luan established himself as one of the leading names in sertanejo universitário and romantic pop in Brazil, landing countless songs at the top of the radio charts and accumulating awards and Latin Grammy nominations. In his high-profile projects, such as the albums "Ao Vivo no Rio", "Acústico" and the conceptual "1977", the artist collaborated with various icons of Brazilian music, including names like Ivete Sangalo, Marília Mendonça, Anitta and Elba Ramalho — an artist who inspired his given name. His transition to technological productions and large-scale tours further expanded his popularity.
