Biography

Lucas Cesar Lima Silveira is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and musician, widely known as the lead vocalist and main creative force of the rock band Fresno. Born in Fortaleza and raised in Porto Alegre, he helped found the group in 1999 while still in high school, transforming it into one of the most prominent names in the independent scene and national rock over the following decades. Throughout his journey with Fresno, Lucas assumed leadership in songwriting and the musical production of landmark albums, building a legion of fans and winning nationally relevant awards.

In addition to his established work with Fresno, Lucas has developed various side projects and solo ventures exploring distinct sounds. Under the moniker Beeshop, he ventured into a style with acoustic roots and international alternative rock influences, while the project SIRsir allowed his foray into electronic music, and Visconde explored lo-fi and minimalist aesthetics. His artistic versatility has also extended to partnerships and music production for other major names in Brazilian music, such as Capital Inicial and Manu Gavassi, in addition to collaborating with established artists like Caetano Veloso, Emicida, and Lenine.

His relevance in Brazilian pop culture is also reflected in his work as an author and cultural activist, participating in collective initiatives such as the track "Trono de Estudar" alongside figures like Chico Buarque and Arnaldo Antunes.
