Biography

Lucyane Pereira Alves, known artistically as Lucy Alves, was born in João Pessoa, Paraíba, on March 6, 1986. A singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and actress, she began her artistic journey in childhood, joining local musical projects and standing out as a violinist in children's orchestras. She graduated in music from the Federal University of Paraíba and consolidated her artistic visibility alongside her family in the group Clã Brasil, with whom she recorded several albums dedicated to promoting northeastern roots.

Her career gained national projection when she participated in the second season of the reality show The Voice Brasil in 2013, where she finished in second place and charmed the public by showcasing her versatility playing the accordion and violin. As one of the main voices of the new generation connected to traditional rhythms, Lucy has collaborated and shared the stage with great icons of Brazilian music, such as Dominguinhos, Sivuca, Marinês, and Alceu Valença. This solid musical background earned her a Latin Grammy nomination in 2016 for the album Lucy Alves & Clã Brasil no Forró do Seu Rosil.

Alongside her musical career, Lucy Alves has built an expressive trajectory in acting, performing in high-profile soap operas and musicals on Brazilian television and theater. Among her most notable works are roles in soap operas such as Velho Chico and Travessia, in addition to having been nominated for important national cultural awards, establishing herself as one of the most multifaceted artists of her generation.
