Biography

Ludmila Múrias Ferber was born in Rio de Janeiro on August 8, 1965, and became one of the greatest expressions of contemporary Christian music in Brazil. Descended from Russian, Spanish, and Portuguese Jews, she began her musical journey singing in a local church in Botafogo. In the 1990s, she moved to Goiânia and joined the influential group Koinonya, alongside names like Bené Gomes, Kleber Lucas, and Alda Célia, consolidating her prominence in the national evangelical scene before embarking on a solo career starting in 1996 with the album Marcas.

Throughout her career, Ludmila stood out both as a performer and as a composer of striking hymns such as "Os Sonhos de Deus", "Ouço Deus Me Chamar", and "Nunca Pare de Lutar". She led highly acclaimed projects, including the series Adoração Profética and Para Orar e Adorar, and collaborated with several prominent gospel music artists, such as Ana Paula Valadão and Fernandinho, in addition to releasing works through major record labels like Som Livre and Sony Music Brasil.

In addition to her intense musical and pastoral activity, the artist was nominated for and won awards at major industry ceremonies, such as the Troféu Talento and Troféu Promessas. Ludmila Ferber passed away in São Paulo on January 26, 2022, at the age of 56, after a courageous battle against lung cancer diagnosed in 2018, leaving an indelible legacy in Brazilian worship.
