Biography

Luê Naya Jansen Soares, artistically known as Luê, is a Brazilian singer and musician born in Belém, Pará, on January 14, 1989. The daughter of composer Júnior Soares, one of the founders of Arraial do Pavulagem, Luê had contact with music from an early age and graduated in classical violin from the Carlos Gomes Conservatory. Her musical career consolidated starting in 2009, when she began her journey as a singer and rabeca player, an instrument that became one of her trademarks. Throughout her journey, Luê was part of important musical formations, such as the Symphony Orchestra of the UFPA School of Music and the Quorum Chamber Group, demonstrating her versatility and classical training.

The artist gained national projection by participating in the Terruá Pará festival in 2011, which led her to perform in São Paulo and Belém with the show "Tu já Rainha". In 2013, she released her first album, "A fim de onda", produced by Betão Aguiar, which mixed regional elements from Pará with sounds such as soul and pop, featuring guest appearances by musicians like Pupillo and Edgar Scandurra. Her second record, "Ponto de mira", released in 2017, explored a more electronic sound and influences from life in São Paulo, a city where she resided for a period. In her works, Luê frequently addresses themes such as loves, encounters, misencounters, and loneliness, exploring the poetry of big cities.

In 2024, Luê released her third album, "Brasileira do Norte", a work that celebrates her roots in Pará by mixing northern culture with electronic pop. The album features guest appearances by renowned artists such as Dona Onete, Fafá de Belém, Johnny Hooker, and Gaby Amarantos, reinforcing her connection with Brazilian music and the appreciation of the cultural riches of the country's North. Luê is recognized for her ability to transition between the regional and the global, creating an authentic and innovative sound that reflects her experiences and influences.
