Luiz Carlos Góes was a multifaceted Brazilian artist, born in Rio de Janeiro on December 20, 1944. His career spanned several areas, standing out as a writer, playwright, composer, and television screenwriter. Góes is recognized for his contribution to Rio de Janeiro's theater, being one of the pioneers of "teatro besteirol", a style marked by absurd and ironic humor. He also left his mark on Brazilian television, collaborating with highly successful Rede Globo shows, such as "Sai de Baixo", "Os Trapalhões", "Toma Lá Dá Cá" and "Pé na Cova".

In music, Luiz Carlos Góes was a partner of Eduardo Dusek in several hits that marked the 1980s, such as "Barrados no Baile" and "Brega-Chique". His compositions were also recorded by renowned artists, including Ney Matogrosso, who interpreted "Folia no Matagal" and "Destino de Aventureiro". Góes's versatility allowed his work to move between humor, pop, and MPB, leaving a significant legacy in the Brazilian cultural scene.
