Biography

Luiz Carlos Miele was a prominent Brazilian producer, actor, writer, singer, presenter, and director, widely recognized as a "showman" who left an indelible mark on Brazilian television, theater, cinema, and live performances. Born in São Paulo on May 31, 1938, Miele's artistic journey began at a young age, influenced by his mother, singer Irma Miele. He started as a radio actor at 12 and later transitioned to television, working on children's programs. His move to Rio de Janeiro in 1959 marked a pivotal moment, leading to a legendary partnership with lyricist Ronaldo Bôscoli.

As the duo Miele & Bôscoli, they became instrumental in shaping the Brazilian music scene, particularly the Bossa Nova movement. They produced and directed numerous shows at the iconic Beco das Garrafas in Copacabana, featuring artists like Elis Regina, Wilson Simonal, and Roberto Carlos. Their collaboration extended to television, where they created and directed influential musical programs such as "O Fino da Bossa," which became a landmark in MPB (Música Popular Brasileira). The duo also owned a nightclub, "Monsieur Pujol," which hosted both national and international artists.

Miele's career was marked by its incredible versatility. Beyond his work in music production and direction, he was a respected actor in film, theater, and television, appearing in series like "Mandrake" and telenovelas. He also ventured into humor, hosting and participating in various comedy shows.
