Biography

Luiza Lian is a prominent Brazilian singer, songwriter, and visual artist originating from São Paulo. She was introduced to the music scene through Selo RISCO in 2015 with her self-titled debut album. Her trajectory expanded significantly in 2017 with the release of the acclaimed visual album Oyá Tempo, accompanied by a twenty-five-minute short film that yielded notable tracks like "Oyá" and "Tucum."

Following her earlier successes, Lian released her breakthrough album Azul Moderno in 2018. This record achieved widespread commercial and critical acclaim, earning the title of best album of the year from the São Paulo Association of Art Critics (APCA) and securing the Multishow Award for Recording of the Year, alongside multiple nominations at the Women Music Awards. The album's extensive tour took her to major festivals such as Lollapalooza Brazil, bolstered by sponsorship from Natura Musical.

Continuing her artistic evolution, she collaborated with the instrumental group Bixiga 70 on the compact release Alumiô in late 2019. Her subsequent album, 7 Estrelas | Quem Arranca o Céu?, was similarly celebrated, being named among the fifty best national albums of 2023 by the APCA. Her unique blend of contemporary Brazilian music draws aesthetic parallels to the innovative sounds explored by artists like Bixiga 70.
