Maciel Melo is a renowned Brazilian singer and songwriter, born in Afogados da Ingazeira in 1962. He established himself as an important figure in northeastern Brazilian music, particularly celebrated for composing the classic song "Caboclo Sonhador", which achieved widespread success through the interpretations of artists like Flávio José and Fagner.

He released his debut album, "Desafio das Léguas", in 1989. Even as a young and relatively unknown musician at the time, his remarkable talent attracted the collaboration of established northeastern musical legends such as Vital Farias, Xangai, Dominguinhos, and Dércio Marques.

Throughout his career, Melo has released a substantial discography spanning multiple decades, including albums like "Alegria de Nós Dois", "Sina de Cantador", and "Debaixo do Meu Chapéu".
