Biography

Banda Magníficos emerged in 1995 in the city of Monteiro, in the interior of Paraíba, conceived by José Inácio da Silva, known as Jotinha, and his family members. The group began its activities independently with the release of the album Todo Dia Te Querer, but it was in the second half of the 1990s that it achieved national projection, establishing itself as one of the main exponents of romantic electronic forró. With an expressive discography marked by major hits and millions of copies sold, the band achieved several gold and platinum certifications, consolidating its name in the history of northeastern music alongside other major exponents of the genre such as Mastruz com Leite.

The group's classic lineup, consolidated between 1996 and 2000, featured the striking vocals of Walkyria Santos, Neno, and Luciene Melo, who were responsible for driving classics like "Me Usa" and "Carta Branca". Throughout nearly three decades on the road, the band underwent several reformulations in its vocal cast, remaining relevant and present in the musical scene with tours and new audiovisual projects. Artists such as Sâmya Maia and Adma Andrade also passed through the group at different moments of its trajectory, contributing to the renewal and longevity of the Magníficos brand.

Currently, the band remains active under the baton of a new generation of performers, featuring names like Fernando Frajola, Samara Souto, and Larissa Ferreira on lead vocals. The group continues to draw crowds at shows across the country, celebrating important milestones such as the recording of the DVD A Preferida do Brasil in Campina Grande. Maintaining the essence of the romantic forró that consecrated it, Banda Magníficos renews its repertoire without losing the identity built over decades of dedication to northeastern culture.
