Maiara e Maraisa are one of the most prominent sertanejo duos in the history of Brazilian music, formed by twin sisters Maiara Carla Henrique Pereira and Carla Maraisa Henrique Pereira, born in São José dos Quatro Marcos, Mato Grosso. Since childhood, the sisters demonstrated a strong artistic inclination, taking the stage for the first time at a tender age and releasing their early projects in the early 2000s, with influences ranging from pop and rock to covers of classic sertanejo tracks. The major turning point in their career came with the support of established names like Jorge, from the duo Jorge & Mateus, and the striking partnership with the late singer Marília Mendonça, with whom they shared acclaimed projects such as the album Patroas.
