Mandragora is a Brazilian instrumental music duo formed in Brasília in 1999 by Daniel Sarkis and Jorge Brasil. Their music is a fusion of various styles and influences, including modern instrumental music, Latin music, and world music. The duo is known for its engaging melodies and refined technique, evoking the softness of the acoustic guitar with the strength of its steel strings.

Mandragora's sound is characterized by the exploration of different tunings and polyrhythms, aiming to expand the sonic possibilities of their instruments. They are constantly in search of unique melodies and rhythms that represent their artistic identity. As representatives of Brazilian instrumental music, they have performed at festivals, jazz clubs, and instrumental music venues across Brazil and have also taken their music to international stages in Cuba, Guatemala, Peru, Venezuela, and Spain.

The duo has released several albums, including their self-titled debut "Mandragora" in 2004, "Paralelo 31" in 2014, and "Mandragora Ao Vivo" in 2020, celebrating their 20th anniversary. In recent years, they have also incorporated percussionist Bety Vinyl into their performances, further enriching their compositions.
