Maneva is a Brazilian reggae band originating from the city of São Paulo, founded in 2005. The group consists of Tales de Polli on vocals, Felipe Sousa on guitar, Fernando Gato on bass, Fabinho Araújo on drums, and Diego Andrade on percussion, with the name of the ensemble having African origins and meaning "pleasure." Throughout its journey, the band has built a solid discography with several studio and live albums, accumulating significant certifications such as gold and platinum records.
During its career, the group has carried out important partnerships and tributes, standing out for the re-recording of the song "Zoio de Lula" as a tribute to Chorão from Charlie Brown Jr., with features by Marcelo D2 and the band Nação Zumbi. Another major milestone occurred in 2021, when the single "Lágrimas de Alegria," recorded in partnership with Natiruts, received a Latin Grammy nomination for Best Portuguese Language Song.
Expanding its sound, the band recorded the project Tudo Vira Reggae Ao Vivo, bringing together Brazilian music classics adapted to the reggae rhythm with guest appearances by artists such as Marcelo Falcão and Toni Garrido. The group remains active in the music scene, maintaining a strong presence on stages and digital platforms.
