Mano Brown, born Pedro Paulo Soares Pereira, is a seminal figure in Brazilian music and the lead vocalist of the legendary hip-hop group Racionais MC's. Emerging from the Capão Redondo neighborhood in São Paulo's extreme south, his lyrics provide a raw and poetic chronicle of life in the Brazilian urban peripheries, tackling themes of racism, poverty, and social injustice. Brown's influence extends far beyond music, as he has become a critical voice against mainstream media and a powerful representative of the Afro-Brazilian identity. \n\nIn addition to his career with Racionais MC's, which produced landmarks like Sobrevivendo no Inferno, Brown ventured into solo territory in 2016 with the album Boogie Naipe.
