Emerson Carlos da Costa, widely known by his stage name Mano Fler, is a Brazilian rapper who emerged from the periphery of Londrina, Paraná. His musical journey began in 1995 when he co-founded the rap group Realidade Street. Before dedicating himself to rap, Fler worked as a music educator. In 2003, he was instrumental in forming Família IML, a group he continues to lead.

Mano Fler gained recognition for his significant impact on the underground hip-hop scene in Paraná during the 2000s and has since contributed to numerous contemporary tracks. His career has been marked by both artistic output and personal challenges, including a period of imprisonment between 2013 and 2018. Despite these adversities, he has continued to produce music that reflects his experiences and the realities of marginalized communities.
