Biography

Manu Maltez is a multifaceted Brazilian artist known for his work that bridges music, visual arts, and literature. He is the creator of four albums: "As neves do Kilimanjaro," "Esse Cavalo Morto no Jardim," "O Diabo Era Mais Embaixo," and "O Rabequeiro Maneta e a Fúria da Natureza." The latter served as the inspiration for an animated short film of the same name, which premiered at Anima Mundi 2019, coinciding with the release of a vinyl-book edition.

Maltez's artistic endeavors extend beyond music. As a visual artist, he has held numerous exhibitions of his prints and drawings, and has also created public art installations and sound art pieces. His musical performances often feature him on a 7-string guitar and vocals, accompanied by other musicians.

His project "O Rabequeiro Maneta e a Fúria da Natureza" exemplifies his interdisciplinary approach, combining music, animation, and literature.
