Biography

Márcia Soraia Tauil Braga Zamarian was born in Guaxupé on December 2, 1968, and later based herself in Brasília. She has established a multifaceted career as a singer, songwriter, producer, and vocal coach, deeply immersed in the world of Brazilian popular music.

Throughout her career, Tauil has collaborated with numerous notable figures in Brazilian music, including Roberto Menescal, Eduardo Gudin, Paulo César Pinheiro, Paulinho Nogueira, Danilo Caymmi, Emílio Santiago, and Miúcha. Her extensive discography features acclaimed releases such as her debut album Águas da Cidade, Sementes no Vento, and various tribute projects dedicated to classic composers, such as her work with Roberto Menescal.

Her artistry has earned her several notable awards and recognitions, including the Troféu Grão de Música for her career and trajectory in 2019, and being named best interpreter at the Festival da Rádio Nacional in 2017. Furthermore, she made history as the first woman to win as a composer and the first back-to-back champion at the Festival Viola de Todos os Cantos.
