Biography

Marcus Menna Barreto Silveira was born in Brasília and consolidated his trajectory in Brazilian music as the lead singer and main leader of the band LS Jack. The group achieved great national projection after being launched on Xuxa's show, reaching the peak of success with the emblematic hit "Carla", composed by him. Throughout his career, he recorded over a hundred songs and marked the Brazilian pop rock scene between the late 1990s and early 2000s.

In 2004, his trajectory suffered a dramatic turnaround when he suffered a cardiorespiratory arrest during liposuction surgery, resulting in a long period in a coma and sequelae that required intense rehabilitation. Demonstrating enormous resilience, the singer resumed his artistic activities in the following years, going through projects like V.I.B.E. 6 and investing in his solo career with the album É Preciso Saber Viver, which featured collaborations with renowned artists such as Rogério Flausino and Wilson Sideral.

In the following years, Marcus continued collaborating with several names in national music, releasing works in partnership with Marcos & Bellutti, Paula Fernandes and Tico Santa Cruz, in addition to celebrating the history of LS Jack. His tenor voice and his contribution to Brazilian pop rock remain marked in the country's phonographic history, alongside icons like Xuxa and Vinny.
