Biography

Mariana Fernandes de Sousa, known artistically as Mari Fernandez, was born in Alto Santo, Ceará, in 2001. The artist began her contact with music in childhood, singing in schools and churches, and later gained national prominence in the piseiro and forró scene with the release of the album Piseiro Sofrência and the hit "Não, Não Vou". Throughout her career, she has established herself as one of the leading female voices in the genre, landing several hits and making notable partnerships with major names in Brazilian music such as Marília Mendonça, Maiara & Maraisa, Gustavo Mioto and Wesley Safadão.

The singer's trajectory is marked by a rapid commercial rise, streaming platform play records and successful transitions to sounds that dialogue with sertanejo and pagode.
