Biography

Ricardo Mariano Bijos Gomes, known professionally as Mariano, was born in Campo Grande on October 15, 1986. He is widely recognized as the primary vocalist of the famous Brazilian sertanejo duo Munhoz & Mariano, which he formed alongside his childhood friend Raphael Munhoz. Before achieving nationwide fame, Mariano worked in his mother's food delivery business and studied zootechny, while beginning his musical journey by performing in local gas stations and small venues.

The duo rose to prominence in 2011 after winning the "Garagem do Faustão" talent segment on Domingão do Faustão with their song "Sonho Bom". Following this breakthrough, Munhoz & Mariano released several major radio hits characterized by upbeat, festive rhythms, most notably the massive success "Camaro Amarelo". Alongside his musical career, Mariano gained additional media attention for his charismatic stage presence and dance choreography, eventually participating in television reality shows such as A Fazenda and serving as a judge on Canta Comigo, working alongside artists like Pabllo Vittar.

Throughout his career, Mariano has remained a prominent figure in modern sertanejo music, collaborating on extensive live albums and maintaining a strong presence in Brazilian pop culture.
