Biography

Marielle Loyola is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and music producer, recognized for her trajectory in national rock, especially in the 80s and 90s. Her musical career began in Brasília with the band Escola de Escândalos, where she acted as lead and backing vocalist. Later, she joined the band Arte no Escuro, which caught the attention of the EMI record label upon the recommendation of Renato Russo, leader of Legião Urbana, releasing a self-titled album in 1987. Her versatility also led her to join the all-female metal band Volkana, consolidating her presence in the heavy metal scene.

In the 90s, Marielle returned to Curitiba and founded the band Cores D Flores, continuing her musical exploration and contributing to the city's rock scene. Her career is marked by a diversity of styles, moving between punk rock, metal, and other strands of Brazilian rock. The artist also had stints as a backing vocalist in other projects, demonstrating her collaboration and importance in the musical milieu.
