Biography

Marina de Souza Dantas Elali was born in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, and pursued formal education in music and voice at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. After her time in the United States, she gained wider recognition by participating in the reality television program Fama and subsequently achieved commercial success with her song "Você", written by Roberto Carlos and Erasmo Carlos. Throughout her career, her voice has featured prominently in television soap operas, miniseries, and films, including notable contributions to soundtracks for productions associated with artists like Gabriela Duarte and Fernanda Vasconcellos.

In addition to her television and film work, Elali has released celebrated projects honoring her heritage, notably her tribute album dedicated to Luiz Gonzaga and Zé Dantas, the latter of whom was her maternal grandfather. Her career is also marked by significant collaborations with renowned national and international acts, including a partnership with Cuban-American singer Jon Secada and work alongside Carlinhos Brown and Dominguinhos.
