Mário Marcos, born Mário Lúcio da Rocha e Silva in São Paulo in 1953, is a prominent Brazilian composer and singer. He is the brother of the equally famous Antônio Marcos, and their musical collaboration has produced some of Brazil's most beloved songs. Marcos began his musical journey early, studying at the Conservatório Musical Orestes Sinatra and participating in television programs like "Mini Guarda" in the late 1960s. His career as a performer saw him join the vocal group "Os Caçulas," with whom he recorded an album and participated in the Jovem Guarda movement.

As a composer, Mário Marcos achieved widespread recognition, most notably for "Como Vai Você," co-written with his brother Antônio Marcos. This song became a massive hit for Roberto Carlos and has since been recorded by numerous artists in Brazil and internationally, even being translated into nine languages. His songwriting prowess extends to other popular songs such as "Bom-dia," "História de alguém que amou uma flor," and "Tudo de novo," which have been recorded by artists like Chitãozinho & Xororó, Zezé Di Camargo & Luciano, and Leandro & Leonardo.
