Marlene Vidal is a Brazilian singer and songwriter born in Salvador, Bahia, in 1952. Her artistic journey began in a family of circus performers, which instilled in her an early passion for the arts. She was registered in Paraíba but grew up in Ceará, absorbing the cultural richness of the Northeast region of Brazil.

Vidal's musical career took off in 1978 with the release of her debut LP on the CBS label. This album featured her own compositions, such as "Terminou acabando" (with Genário) and "Fugiu do ninho" (co-written with Raimundo Nonato). She also interpreted notable songs by other artists, including "Quero voltar pro nordeste" by Vital Faria and Roberto Valois, and "Saudade que dá gosto," "Gosto lindo," and "Jardim de minha flor," all by the composer Ceceu. Her music often reflects the vibrant spirit and diverse influences of Brazilian popular music.
