Maurício Tagliari is a multifaceted Brazilian artist, recognized for his significant contributions to jazz, Latin jazz, and the broader Brazilian music scene. Hailing from São Paulo, he has established himself not only as a skilled saxophonist and guitarist but also as a prolific producer and artistic director.

Tagliari's musical journey includes founding the band Nouvelle Cuisine and co-founding the independent music association ABMI. He is also the founder and artistic director of YB Music, a prominent label that has been instrumental in launching and promoting numerous Brazilian artists, including Nação Zumbi, Tulipa Ruiz, and Luedji Luna. His work with YB Music highlights his keen A&R sensibility and dedication to fostering diverse musical talents, often prioritizing intuition and artistic vision over mainstream trends.

Beyond his work as a label director and band member, Tagliari has released solo albums under the moniker "MAô" and has been involved in various collaborative projects and collectives.
