Mauro Assumpção was a Brazilian musician known for his work in the psychedelic rock scene of the early 1970s. He was a key figure in the duo Rubinho & Mauro Assumpção, which released a single, highly sought-after album, "Perfeitamente, Justamente Quando Cheguei," in 1972.

This album is celebrated for its eclectic blend of folk, MPB, psychedelic rock, and samba, drawing influences from both Brazilian music traditions and international psychedelic sounds of the 1960s. Assumpção was not only a vocalist but also a songwriter and producer for the project, contributing significantly to its unique sound. The album featured other notable musicians, including drummer Gegê, who had previously worked with artists like Milton Nascimento.

Although the duo was short-lived, "Perfeitamente, Justamente Quando Cheguei" has gained a cult following over the years, becoming a prized rarity among collectors of Brazilian psychedelic and progressive music.
