Carolina de Oliveira Lourenço, known professionally as MC Carol, is a prominent Brazilian rapper, singer, songwriter, activist, and actress. Born in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro, she rose to prominence by releasing singles over the internet that uniquely combine social themes, explicit discussions of sexuality, and humorous undertones. Her breakthrough came with hits such as "Bateu uma Onda Forte," followed by acclaimed tracks like "Jorginho Me Empresta a 12," "Liga pro Samu," and "Não Foi Cabral."
