Josley Caio de Faria, known professionally as MC Dede, is a Brazilian funk artist who emerged from the Cidade Tiradentes neighborhood in São Paulo's Zona Leste. He is recognized as one of the pioneers of the 'funk ostentação' (ostentation funk) subgenre, which gained significant traction in the early 2010s. MC Dede's career began around 2009, with early performances at local festivals and parties. His breakthrough came with the release of "Olha o Kit," a song that became an anthem of the ostentação movement and spawned multiple successful sequels, solidifying his place in the São Paulo funk scene.
