Biography

MC Kelvinho, artistic name of Kelvin David Benedito, was born in São Paulo on October 28, 1994. In his childhood, he attended choir classes, which ended up arousing his interest in music and directing him toward funk starting in 2007, before pursuing his initial dream of becoming a soccer player as a right-back. Throughout his journey, he built strong bonds in the music scene, having been a close friend of the late MC Daleste, with whom he recorded striking collaborations such as "Eu amo minha Quebrada" and "Garota Bandida".

The singer gained national projection by establishing himself as one of the precursors of the style known as "funk DJC" (Don Juan cafajeste), alongside names like MC Kapela MK. This lyrical strand highlights male charm in conquest and detachment regarding dating. With an intense schedule of monthly shows, Kelvinho also shared the microphone and productions with other exponents of São Paulo and national funk, such as MC Guimê, MC Gui, MC Rodolfinho and MC Hariel.
