Leonardo de Freitas Cruz, known professionally as MC Léo da Baixada, emerged from São Vicente, São Paulo, in the Baixada Santista region, becoming a prominent figure in Brazilian funk music. He began his career in 2007, quickly gaining recognition for his contributions to the funk ostentação subgenre.
