Biography
Oliver Decesary Santos, known artistically as MC Livinho, was born in São Paulo and has been surrounded by musical influences since childhood, being encouraged by his mother to appreciate great names in MPB such as Chico Buarque and Djavan. Before establishing himself in the urban music scene, he began his artistic journey playing the violin in churches, an experience that gave him a good grasp of harmony and arrangement before transitioning to the world of funk.
Throughout his career, Livinho became one of the main exponents of São Paulo funk, initially standing out in funk ostentação and, later, creating the style known as funk ousadia, marked by lyrics with a strong erotic and romantic appeal. Songs like "Mulher Kama Sutra" propelled his national projection, while tracks like "Fazer Falta" made history by reaching the top of streaming charts in the country. Alongside other exponents of the genre like MC Pedrinho, he helped redefine the sound and reach of Brazilian funk on digital platforms.
In addition to his consolidated music career, the artist also ventured professionally into sports, having played as a footballer in São Paulo teams such as Audax and São Caetano. Balancing the routine of singer, songwriter, and former player, Livinho remains one of the most emblematic and popular figures of contemporary urban music in Brazil, with a career marked by major commercial successes and a strong presence in the media.
