Biography

Melly is a talented Brazilian singer and songwriter from Salvador, Bahia, who began her musical journey in childhood under the encouragement of her father, musician Tito Araújo. By the age of sixteen, she was already performing on the stages of bars in Salvador, refining her artistic identity that moves between the sound of R&B and traditional Afro-Bahian rhythms.

National recognition came with the release of her debut EP, titled Azul, in 2021, which quickly attracted the attention of specialized critics. This projection culminated in important milestones in her career, such as winning the "Revelation of the Year" trophy at the Prêmio Multishow de Música Brasileira in 2023, in addition to prominent collaborations with major names in the contemporary scene, such as Karol Conká and Liniker.

In 2024, she consolidated her discography with the release of her first studio album, Amaríssima, a work that earned her a significant Latin Grammy nomination in the category of Best Portuguese Language Contemporary Pop Album. Continuing her rise, the artist expanded her repertoire in the following years with new singles and projects such as the acoustic EP slap sessions, where she presented reinterpretations of hits by the eternal Gal Costa.
