Biography

Reginaldo Tadeu Batista de Souza, known as Mestre Adamastor, is a prominent figure in Brazilian carnival and a renowned motivational speaker. His passion for samba ignited at the age of 12, and by 1977, he had his first opportunity in the music scene with the samba school Camisa Verde e Branco. He further honed his skills as a rhythmist with Rosas de Ouro starting in 1981. Adamastor's career as a Mestre de Bateria (drum section leader) took off in 1994 with X-9 Paulistana, where his innovative 'paradinas' (rhythmic breaks) contributed to the school winning two championships in 1997 and 2000. His leadership extended to presidencies and drum leadership roles at Império de Casa Verde and Acadêmicos do Tucuruvi.

Beyond the carnival grounds, Mestre Adamastor established himself as a powerful motivational leader. Since 1995, he has been conducting workshops and training sessions for companies worldwide, using samba bateria dynamics to foster teamwork, motivation, and behavioral change. His unique approach, blending rhythm, leadership, and team spirit, has made him a sought-after speaker for corporate events. In 2006, Adamastor also showcased his determination by winning a reality TV show focused on weight loss, demonstrating his commitment to personal challenges.

Mestre Adamastor's influence extends to his role as a cultural ambassador, promoting Brazilian music and its organizational principles.
