Biography

Metal Nobre is a Brazilian Christian rock and metal band founded in 1997 in the city of Taguatinga, in the Federal District. The group was born from the initiative of musicians coming from various local evangelical churches, who initially were part of the JT e Banda project before deciding to change the band's name. The original lineup featured figures like JT, Kenny Gouveia, Pedro Pantoja, and Maurício Barbosa, laying the groundwork for a remarkable career in the national gospel scene.

Over the years, the group released several prominent works that propelled the genre in the country, starting with albums such as the 1998 self-titled release and the album Revelação, released in 1999. Other important projects punctuated the band's discography, including Metal Nobre III, Nas Mãos do Senhor, Ao Teu Lado, and Alta Voltagem. Public and critical recognition expanded with the release of the album Made in Brazil in 2012, a work that earned nominations for the Troféu Promessas in the Best Group and Best DVD categories.

The band's trajectory was also marked by several lineup changes and the return of members over the decades, keeping JT in the lead and on lead vocals. Much like other exponents of Brazilian Christian rock, such as bands like Oficina G3 and Resgate, Metal Nobre built a heavy and melodic sonic identity. The group remains active, preserving its relevance in Christian-inspired heavy music in the Federal District and throughout the national territory.
