Biography

Michele Andrade is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist born in Barreiros, Pernambuco. Coming from a musical family—being the granddaughter of a maestro and niece of a multi-instrumentalist—she began her musical journey at the age of 13 with the support of her family, eventually posting covers on YouTube ranging from MPB to forró.

Her professional career gained momentum when she fronted prominent regional groups, including the Pará-based band Companhia do Calypso in 2012 and later the acclaimed Pernambucan forró band Limão com Mel between 2014 and 2017. Fulfilling a childhood dream after meeting band leader Batista Lima years earlier, she participated in albums such as "Amando Mais Uma Vez" before embarking on her solo career.

As a solo artist, Michele has embraced diverse rhythms such as forró, piseiro, sertanejo, pop, trap, and axé, releasing notable singles like "Nunca Foi Verdade" and collaborating with major national acts like Wesley Safadão, Dorgival Dantas, and Solange Almeida. Leveraging social media platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, she has built a massive following and recorded major projects like her 2023 DVD "FACES", cementing her position as an innovative force in contemporary northeastern Brazilian music.
