Biography

Miguel Briamonte is a highly versatile Brazilian artist, renowned as a composer, arranger, pianist, and musical director. With a career spanning over four decades, he has made significant contributions to Brazilian theater, music, and cinema.

Briamonte gained considerable recognition for his work as the musical director, arranger, and pianist for all of Edson Cordeiro's national and international shows from 1990 to 1997. His arrangements for Cordeiro's first three albums earned him two Sharp Awards for Best National Arranger in 1992 and 1996. He has also orchestrated works by Hermeto Pascoal for the São Paulo State Symphonic Band and composed and directed musical shows such as "Os Reis do Riso" and "Luiz Gonzaga Sinfônico."

His extensive work in musical theater includes directing and arranging for numerous acclaimed productions in Brazil, such as "Cats," "The Phantom of the Opera," "Chicago," "A Bela e a Fera," and "Miss Saigon." Briamonte has also composed and directed music for ballet and film, receiving an award for Best Soundtrack at the Ribeirão Preto Film Festival for his work on "Salve Geral." He has collaborated with a wide range of artists and directors, including Jorge Takla, José Possi Neto, and Milton Nascimento.
