Biography

Mihay, born Mihay Freire de Vetyemy on October 10, 1978, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, clip director, photographer, video editor, and screenwriter. He is the grandson of the Hungarian painter, composer, and violinist Mihay, from whom he inherited his name, and nephew of Pedro Mourão, a member of the São Paulo group Rumo. Mihay has worked as a screenwriter and director of music videos for artists such as Chico César, Elba Ramalho, and Mariana Aydar, among others.

Mihay has released several albums, including "Amor em tempos nublados" (2018) and "Gravador e amor" (2016). His music is often described as eclectic, blending various influences. He has performed in shows in the Netherlands and at national and international festivals, such as "Brazil Sensacional" in Paris and "Jam Session" in Montreux. He has also shared stages with artists like Anelis Assumpção, Karina Buhr, and Lucas Santtana.

In 2017, Mihay produced and performed in "Baby Te Amo – Tributo a Luiz Melodia," a tribute event to Luiz Melodia, which featured collaborations with notable Brazilian artists like João Donato and Simone Mazzer. His work as a video editor includes collaborations on clips for artists like João Bosco. Mihay's artistic versatility extends beyond music, encompassing visual arts and filmmaking.
